Description
My heart was still in twisted, agonizing knots. Usually flying calms me down whenever I was angry, but I have been flying for at least an hour and I still felt hurt. Big-Chill had yelled something to me as I stormed away....but I didn't hear it. I was deaf with grief. Probably didn't matter..... My left hand grasped something cold and small. I knew what it was....but I didn't want to think about it at the moment. All I wanted to do was drop it somewhere for it to be taken over by Mother Nature. Suddenly, I felt a sharp, searing pain in my right, upper wing. The next thing I knew, I was plummeting to the white blanket of snow below me; my wings and antennae folding over me. The pain was unbearable! I touched my injured wing and winced. The wound cut pretty deep into the delicate, thin membrane. Blood seeped out pretty quickly for a wound of it's size. I jumped as I heard a sneering, evil laugh. A shadow enveloped me. I looked up and gasped. A giant Highbreed was standing before me, the claws on his right hand regenerating. He was far larger than any other Highbreed I have seen before. This Highbreed had a familiar look to him as well. I had little to think about it when he reached down with his long, skinny fingers and grabbed me, picking me straight up. The object I held fell into the snow, soon to be forgotten. "My, you are a pretty one...." the Highbreed said with a sly tone."Put me down!!" I struggled to escape....but the Highbreed had a pretty powerful grip, which was to be expected.
"Why? You're alone in this dredful world. Betrayed by your love," the Highbreed said, making me freeze.
"How do you know about.....him?" I asked, curiously
"Does it really matter? I could take care of you better than that insect ever could have! Now....what do you say?"
" I want to know why a Highbreed like you is still alive! I thought that once your DNA has been reconfigured, you'd be more peaceful." I said.
"Take another look, my dear," the Highbreed said. "I'm no ordinary Highbreed. My DNA has been merged with that of an Ectonurite! The most foulest aliens in the universe! We seek destruction and sorrow..."
I tried to free myself once more but the Highbreed just laughed evilly as he carried me away into the night.I wished Big-Chill was still around.....tears fell from my eyes
